Why Battle Cry pt1

When I was 16, I heard a Loud Battle Cry. I’ve never heard of anything quite like it before. It was a call for something greater, for something beyond my imagination, for destiny.

Out of fear and curiosity I followed that thunderous roar…

6 years later.. I found myself in the midst of a battle, a fight that I longed for, joining in with that same Battle Cry.....

happenings after mcdee's soft vanilla cone
    *click [implanted in the mind]
who really needs a camera to capture such beauty anyway? ...
i do. did. aha next time perhaps.
wasn't planning on visiting there today, but upon following my instincts to venture "to the left", there's arguably nowhere else i'd have rather been. it was the fog that first caught my eye. a single strip barely touching the foot of grouse and cypress spanning the entire horizontal. just that strip. downtown i believe... wonder how they're holding up down there haha. maybe that's what He feels like...seeing us in the haze but knowing exactly where it ends. there's so much more to see around those down-to-earth clouds when you're above it, but when it surrounds you there's no way out but up. fear not...it ends. in two ways: either it lifts, or the sun burns through. think metaphorically here ;)
funny the lessons you learn on a spontaneous jog...

let me paint you the picture: the glint of the reflected sun on industrial windows. the sprinkled glitter atop grouse. the rising moon on the east, setting sun to the west. (the moon rises fast! i mean...who watches a moon-rise? did you even know it rose? i mean, i've seen it during the day at times high up and learned the bright simply faded it out. i wonder if the moon-set is just as efficient. i'm confused.) and that long sidewalk-like fog resembling a narrow straight between the two slowly rising.
the sky is blushing - it should, it's so beautiful.

and i just stand. 5 mins, 10 mins? there is no better way to describe than to agree with the words of Ecclesiastes 3:11-12
"God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has set eternity in the hearts of men. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live."

    it was eternity there.
except for the disruptive cars. back and forth. up and down. how dare you disturb my peace. but as much as i dislike your brief presences, i wish you would just stop and look. you can't see this everywhere. but fear not, it'll be here tomorrow. and the day after that. but i know you won't stop. partially because there's no immediate parking but that's beside the point. life's too crowded and noisy for you to notice the sunset/moonrise/foglift. prove me wrong. as for now, it's mine to take in and behold (and the tenants of the property i stood in).

and to think none of this would have happened if we hadn't randomly gone for ice cream, propelling me to cancel out the calories

till next time, when my clicker accompanies me.
